Another Stupak Bloc Voter Won't Block HCR (Perriello)

U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello (D-Va.) announced in a statement today that he is satisfied that language in the Senate's health care bill will prevent federal funding for abortions, a condition for his support for health care legislation.

In the statement, Perriello said he remains undecided about whether to back the whole bill, which could be put to a vote in the House this week. But he said he believes the Senate's language on abortion meets his pledge not to allow federal funding for abortions--and other provisions of the bill will result in fewer abortions.

Perriello, while he didn't give it a yes, has said he's not a no for the abortion language. He needs to see the final language, but the reasons he'd have voted no on the House Bill are gone.

I tried calling all his offices today and each time the call went to voice mail. I think the cowards in his office have all the phones blocked or something. This has been going on since last week.

BTW on Saturday he sent an e-mail to the constiuents that said he would vote No if the Stupak language wasn't included, needless to say both my husband and myself gave him both barrels in the letters we posted straight back at him.

Will someone in Illinois stand up and try to get this eejit out of office?
