2. Other: Don't read either.
The important stuff finds it way here.

3. that is the Genius of DU
Anything truly important shows up here. And, there is no self-important "leader" like Kos around to puff themselves up for their public.

6. Everything important and a smattering of the unimportant.
Interesting that HuffPo was left off the list, too. I read it for awhile, but all the interesting stuff comes here, anyhow, and I can decide whether to click the link or not. Most often, I do not.

Worst thing at HoffPo is the stupid alternative health crap she allows over there. It finds its way here, too, where debunking is always necessary.

7. Neither. DU is all I need.
I find Kos impossible to navigate. I used to read FDL on occasion, but I found their threads too hard to read, and it seemed to me that there were too many inside references to particular personalities blogging there.

I have long mourned the loss of Billmon's "The Whiskey Bar", which will always remain in my memory as one of the finest blogs ever.

But, when it comes right down to it, DU is my "home" and I don't need anything more.

8. I don't follow either one.

Besides DU, I read The Mudflats, Progressive Alaska, Shannyn Moore, Celtic Diva, and The Immoral Minority. I'm kind of a local girl at heart.
