Wow! First Edwards's aide, now this guy. If Spitzer and his aide are this far off the track, tennis won't do much good...

(sorry I have to post the link...I cannot seem to master the skill of posting snippets...)

1. Well, I can understand that
Got to keep in shape somehow. If you can't work it out on the tennis court, might as well work it out horizontally on the mattress.

2. What a pathetic mess this whole thing was for Spitzer, his wife and his aide.
Unbelievable that such a briliant guy could get himself in such deep denial that reality just slipped away from him...I feel bad for Silda. She was hit with a huge glacier...

3. So if he had "kept to himself" it may have aggravated his tennis elbow?

6. Duh, it took me a moment to "get" what you posted.
Well, it would have been better for him politically, for sure!

Of course, he COULD have tried some energetic swimming...I'm sure his doctor had some suggestions about stuff he could do without making him hobble around...

But of course, the whole thing is a crock to begin with so, whatever...

5. And a extreme lack of tiddlywinks drove hm to have
the State Police spy on Bruno.

And a extreme lack of checkers drive him to try and steam roll the legislature!

7. So, I guess there are no problems ...
... that can't be solved by tennis.

What a racket.

10. Spitzer thinks a prostitute is not as bad as an affair...
I'm sure Silda is SO comforted by that thought...if I were she, I'd divorce him for that statement ALONE...sorry, this guy is a jerk.

11. If I were married --
I would be OK with my husband seeing a prostitute, especially oif there were certain things he liked to engage in that I was not interested in -- with them it's strictly business. On the other hand, an affair of the heart, watch out hubby.

13. Well, with me that's "no deal." It just isn't. But I see your point and if it is fine with you, then
who am I to say?

I get it that an emotional involvement is more serious. I don't get it that in a true relationship you can't be honest with your partner about your sexual needs. It just doesn't compute, to me.

14. I used to be in the --
camp of "no sex outside of marriage/relationship" but as I got older I really started to rethink that. Havng been cheated on in past relationships and undestanding men much better than I did, I would rather my partner be honest with me about the desire for outside sexual activity, and that activity be with someone who has zero interest in a relationship with them.

If my partner were into Pamper play a la' David Vitter, I really couldn't go there with them and would much rather have a professional handle that! :D

15. I guess we're lucky to be "aging out" at the same time.
Hubby and I are close on such matters as sex practices, so it is not an issue.

Once you have had more than one really scary health issues confront you, you get a little more relaxed about what to expect from sex, and it's not all bad! As a matter of fact, it can be helpful. But you realize you are not 40. Or 25. Or whatever. It's a discovery of things in your life. See Stanley Kunitz's poem "Touch me":

Summer is late, my heart.
Words plucked out of the air
some forty years ago
when I was wild with love
and torn almost in two
scatter like leaves this night
of whistling wind and rain.
It is my heart that's late,
it is my song that's flown.
Outdoors all afternoon
under a gunmetal sky
staking my garden down,
I kneeled to the crickets trilling
underfoot as if about
to burst from their crusty shells;
and like a child again
marveled to hear so clear
and brave a music pour
from such a small machine.
What makes the engine go?
Desire, desire, desire.
The longing for the dance
stirs in the buried life.
One season only,
and it's done.
So let the battered old willow
thrash against the windowpanes
and the house timbers creak.
Darling, do you remember
the man you married? Touch me,
remind me who I am.

12. Let the record reflect that I don't play tennis and have never had sex with a prostitute
Now for my next trick, I will attempt to play golf and NOT screw a cocktail waitress! It's MAGIC!

Freakin' idiots.
