Jon Stewart Eviscerates Rick Sanchez Over Tsunami Coverage
Sanchez identifying the Galapagos as Hawaii is my third favorite part.

What is nine meters in ENGLISH?! is my second favorite part.

Sanchez being tasered is the best part.

7. It's pretty hard to be THAT wrong
when you consider that the earth is only 8000 miles in diameter.

Galapagos Islands: 0:00N 90:30W
Hawaii (Hilo): 19:41:46N 155:05:15W
Distance: 4575 miles

16. Well, there's diameter and then there's circumference
The earth's diameter is a little less than 8,000 miles, but that's the measure of a line segment through the earth's center. The earth's circumference is just a shade under 25,000 miles. Either way, 4,575 miles is way off, but it's a much smaller percentage of the surface measurement.

8. I haven't watched it yet. I love John Stewart. I am sure it is hilarious.
I saw something really hilarious too last night. I was flipping channels and flipped past Pater Robertson pointing to a map. I was intrigued. I had to watch. He was trying to explain plate techtonics. I didn't watch long because I just can't stand the guy but it was hilarious listening to him trying to explain it. He couldn't even remember the names of the plates. He thinks it's God's revenge anyway. I don't know what he was doing trying to explain plate techtonics. But it was very funny.

10. The guest should have responded: could you repeat the question in english
(I think this was the same guest as the "what's (meters) in English" comment.)

or Harvey Johnson from Die Hard:

Gail Wallens: Author of "Hostage Terrorist, Terrorist Hostage: A Study in Duality." Dr. Hasseldorf, what can we expect in the next few hours?

Dr. Hasseldorf: Well, Gail, by this time the hostages should be going through the early stages of the Helsinki Syndrome.

Harvey Johnson: As in Helsinki, Sweden.

Dr. Hasseldorf: Finland.

12. I'd be careful using the word "eviscerates" with Jon
Remember his recent bit with Maddow?

But it was laugh-out-loud funny, I had just been watching the Senate trying to shame Bunning and I needed a break so watched last night's TDS and that segment was just hysterical.

Jon is a National Treasure!

21. I agree and thought of that when I saw the Post header.
He definitely critiqued Sanchez and the coverage of the earthquake, but he also critiqued the bloggers about making everything so inflammatory. He is pretty funny and astute.
