Need a casket? Now you can buy them at the mall. Personalized!
Nathan Smith wants to talk about his new store, but first he has a few questions.

“Are you ready?” he says of the new business at Towne West Square.

“Are you sure you’re ready?

His business, ’Til We Meet Again, will sell custom caskets and urns.

“It’s very specialized, very unique,” Smith says. “You can personalize it however you want.”

2. A friend built his dad's casket
His dad said he wanted to be buried in a casket his son built and when he passed away they buried him in one his son built. It was a beautiful knotty pine box that was built like you used to see in the westerns on teevee, 6 sided. Anyways Rick, his son, now sells caskets for others who want a cheaper alternative and or just want a pine box to bury their loved ones in. Dying is just as real as living after all, we're all going to be doing it sooner or later

9. same here
no services either. I'm non-religious and if someone starts preaching at the party of my passing I'm going to haunt them for the rest of their miserable lives. I wish they could simply throw my stinking ass on a brush pile and let it burn would be my preference

4. A female friend of mine did the same thing for her dad
Myself, I'd rather just be barbequed and packed in a Tupperware or scattered in someone's rose garden....

6. Cool. I was looking for one to hold Harold Ford's political career.
I'm thinking a nice heavy oak would do. We don't want that thing getting out.

7. My cousin, a woodworker and custome furniture builder
made a wooden box for the cremains of one of our young cousins who had died in a stupid accident. It had a baseball and glove on top because our young cousin loved to play Little League. It was lovely and was deeply appreciated by the parents. He had also made a beautiful box for the cremains of his older brother who had died of colon cancer. They made sad situations more personal and, as he said - gave him an opportunity to contribute to celebrating the lives of family members he loved.
