Congratulations Team Canada.
Wish it had been Staal that scored instead of Crosby though (I'm a Canes fan).

2. You're welcome and thanks.

Hockey always puts me in a good mood. Can't wait to see Eric back in Raleigh (and Gleason, Ruutu, and Pitkanen).

9. A friend of mine put up Eric Staal
During the draft a few years back, he stayed at her place in Thunder Bay. Her son played minor hockey with him at one point, so they were friends. She's quite the hockey mom. She said Eric Staal was a nice kid.

10. He's pretty nice but so are his brothers. Great hockey family.
Thanks for that. My nephew has stayed with families in Canada when he goes up for youth tournaments such as in Quebec City and Edmonton (he plays for a Carolina Hurricanes junior team and also was invited to play for a team from Los Angeles one year).

6. Fabulous game from both teams

Couldn't have asked for a more exciting finish. Although I was cheering for the home team, I congratulate our northern neighbors!

8. Yes, great game.
I thought Ryan Miller played great throughout the olympics (though as a Canes ticket holder, I'm usually begrudging when it comes to Buffalo).

12. Classic game.

I am glad it went to overtime. I wanted Team USA to win, but if we could not win I wanted Canada to win.

Vancouver did a great job with the games. Good on 'ya, Canada.

15. I'm a big hockey fan
I enjoyed the game. As an American I was marginally rooting for the U.S. team, but knowing what a win would mean in Canada I wasn't going to mind a Canadian victory. So I told my wife early in the game "I don't really care who wins, as long as Sidney Crosby doesn't score the game winning goal." Oh brother.

18. Yep, I had the same thoughts.
My youngest son doesn't care for Crosby much (because they talk about him all the time, even during games he isn't playing in).
