Poll question: Given the current state of the Democratic Party agenda, I think Harry Reid is......
I'm wondering if DU thinks Reid is helping, hurting, or neutral?

If you are pro-Reid, feel free to post why you like his leadership.

If you are anti-Reid, please post who you might think would be a more effective majority leader.

1. Seriously? Just look at his results to answer that.
Ineffective is his name.

3. Is there a Senator you'd like to see in his place?
Kerry?
Feingold?
Feinstein?
Franken?
Schumer?
Other?

6. Any of those but Schumer would be better. Whitehouse
would be good, Boxer would rock.

2. He's a spineless coward
I'll leave it up to the voters of Nevada to decide whether or not he remains in the Senate, but either way he should not remain the Majority "Leader". And neither should Dick Durbin, for a number of reasons.

How about Russ Feingold, or Barbara Boxer?

7. As with the entire political scene as it has been staged, the prospect of replacing him raises
the specter of whom the Nevada dumbasses will replace him with. He has the state Democratic Party, and therefore the nomination, locked up so we will get another Ensign, or worse.

10. A lot better than I expected earlier...
He could do better - but it's amazing the contortions he's had to go thru...

I would still prefer to see a Sam Rayburn or Lyndon Johnson, but for now, he's all we've got...and that's NOT a compliment...
