I was watching the Sunday morning news shows ...
and something became clear. The reason democrats are losing the message war because of the pundits on the "left." They are presented as clearly on the left. Their primary positions are clearly on the left of the panel they are on, but they feel the need to be "balanced." Whereas, their panelmates on the right feel no need to tell a/the full story. They are far more messge disciplined than the left panelist. When was the last time you heard Lynn Cheney or Bill Kristol say the dems did anything right?

1. Being slightly to the left of John Birch does not make one a leftist..
There basically are no actual leftists on the Sabbath Gasbag shows, only a few that are not falling off the edge of the world to the far far right..

2. UGH ...
I don't even know who that lightweight was that on MTP from the white house, I know the admin it pretty tight about not out and out calling the republicans for being the arsehats they are, but it was SO painful watching Gregory question from the false narratives developed from the right, when my answer would have been consistent.

"Dingbat, Jim Demint made it very clear that the republicans had no interest in trying to help deal with this problem, and that they have at no point engaged in their responsibilities as elected officials to serve the interests of their constituents when he said that HCR reform would be President Obama's waterloo ... They have spent the entire year engaging in obstructionism based on simple partisan politics while the admin and democrats have tried very hard to find solutions ...

You could cut and paste that statement to answer 90% of Gregory's questions ...

7. I thought he sucked today. He was not hard enough on John who shouldn't
have been given the first 20 minutes anyway. HE LOST THE ELECTION!!!!! not yelling at you just saying why does John McCain keep getting air time against Obama's plans as if the people didn't choose Obama already.

4. Nancy-Ann DeParle on Meet The Press
I don't think Nancy drove home the point that the Senate ALREADY PASSED their health care reform bill with a 60 vote majority. She mentioned it briefly, but the point got lost in the sauce.

5. I liked when Gregory said that his "friend" in the Obama admin gave him the...
inside scoop about the Dems not getting the mssg out to the people re: HCR.

Hello! idiot!!! You are supposed to be one of the people's sources of information. Except that you are too busy reading from your GOP talking points memo. What an ass!

6. Pundits On the Left??? Now, I DON'T Watch MTP... But I'm Dubious About
the fact that ANY of those shows have "pundits of the left" who appear! I don't know what you call "left," but I haven't seen many even given the "chance" to appear on these shows!

Bernie Sanders is one I would consider, but there are VERY FEW OTHER Democrats that I would lump into "left!" Especially since the "right" thinks Obama is a Liberal from the Left, it's hard for me to take this seriously!

To me, Obama is nothing NEAR to the LEFT! Obama is much further to the RIGHT of me! MUCH!!

That is not to say that I'm unwilling to "work" together with those whose views are more to the center, but Democrats these days seem to be RIGHTWARD leaning more and more! They may call themselves "Progressives" if they wish, but I don't even think that's what they are! Blue Dog Democrats have gummed up the works for REAL Democrats IMO!

But hey, my faith in our leaders has diminished so far that I find myself simply "trying" not to listen to the garbage they spew, and have a hard time even wishing that they would just STOP ruining a once GREAT Party! They talk "hot air" to me... nothing more! Ah, my cynicism abounds!

So, I can be be-partisan with Progressives, if they are REAL Progressives... but to go the way Obama has with the Repukes... not an idea that lights my bulb!

11. Sometimes MTP has Rachel Maddow on but they would have to have her on
every week to come near to being fair and balanced.

9. Gregory was horrid-what a tool. Even freakin Hume did a better job
He actually used the CBO report to desimate some talking points Cantor was pushing.
Gregory was practically useless. Allowing grumpy McGee to lie his ass off repeatedly.

He also barely let Debbie Wasserman Schultz talk at all-interjecting crap instead of questions...

Gregory needs to go.

10. Since the major outlets are corporate owned it stands to reason that they
wouldn't let any information out that might damage their political advantages down the road.
