Meg Whitman scares the Sh!$ out of me
Worth $1.4Billion and she is willing to buy the election in California for Governor.

But what is her angle on winning the governor's mansion? I think it is going to be just like the Bush presidency and a "Free-For-All" for her cronies at the expense of California

What is also really scary is Pete Wilson is backing her all the way to the bank. Pete Wilson enacted the Energy DeRegulation which led to Enron fleecing the California State Utility Rate payers to the tune of $9Billion. Only makes me wonder what shenanigans Meg is going to pull off to make it worth spending all those $Millions of her own personal money to buy the Governor's seat

1. She's already spent $39 million and is expected to spend $150 million on the general.
So yes. You should be scared.

Hopefully Brown is popular enough to overcome the cash and lies.

5. Meg is in it for some thing - what is her angle
She never did any thing that didn't turn a profit no matter who suffered

4. Well, all that money is only buying her half the vote
She's tied 43% to 43% with Jerry Brown in the latest Rasmussen poll:

I don't know California but I have to imagine that after this last year, the citizens have had enough with Republican rule.

8. Ha!
I'm sure Ms. Whitman will do her best to drive that point home.

As for me, I'm a geek and I judge candidates by their websites. Brown wins hands down. Whitman's site is bunched up, cluttered and the colors are godawful. Brown's site is clean, easy to navigate and almost manages to appear completely different from the Obama layout - which every candidate (of either party) is stealing.

Contrast and compare:

11. The design speaks volumes to me. Brown has clarity.
Whitman just wants the job; she doesn't really have a public-friendly agenda.

7. The more you see those ads, the less you like her
Her voice sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher (whah-whah-WHAH-whah-whah), she's personally unattractive, and her message essentially, is, "elect me, I'll do the sam crap that Ahnuld tried to do only I'll do better at it".

In a society where half the people weren't brainwashed zombies, she'd get about 5% of the vote against any half decent Dem candidate. In CA, that means she'd probably get 35-40%.

The job would chew her up and spit her out, just like it did the gropinator. I think we finally got the message that government should NOT be "run like a business".

9. Isn't Wilson's name "Mudd" in CA?
I would think having him backing her in any way would be a major strike against her, given the Enron thing. Or, have they all forgotten about it?

17. Any Democrat worth his salt would blast Wilson's involvement from the rooftops
A great ad would be "Pete Wilson, the man who gave us Enron now wants to give us Meg Whitman. We can't afford Meg Whitman." Voice over a with pics of the Enron corporate office and headlines from the days of the rolling blackouts and sky high prices.

10. It will take work to defeat her
and I fear CA Democrats do not have it in them to bother. Apathy is the drug of choice in CA, and many are already declaring her unbeatable as an excuse to begin sitting it out before it starts.
Job one should be reminding everyone of Pete Wilson's racist policies. He is hated my many CA voters.

16. Here's hoping Jerry announces soon...
...he may be the only candidate with a really good chance of beating her, given the financial resources at her disposal.

Although why he'd want the job at this juncture...
