Up Or Down. - So What Are You Going To Do? - 28 Feb 10
.

Summit is over.

The people of USA voted for Democratic members of Congress and a Democratic President to GOVERN. Yes - you are now adults, in charge, and responsible.

The members of the Democratic Party have exhausted every possible excuse trying to avoid doing what the people sent them to do. The Republicant Party cannot be used as cover for Democratic Party not governing. Doing nothing is not an option, never was. No more half-stepping, no more posturing. No more 'sun was in my eyes and it was too dark to see, the world is flat no body likes me' excuses.

Govern already. Bring the major legislative action on Health Care to an "Up Or Down - Majority Rules" vote.

No excuses. Additionally, should any piece of Democratic legislation be threatened with a filibuster by any one, the Democratic Party response MUST be "Majority rules, bring it to the floor. Give the piece of legislation an up or down vote."

'Sh!t or get off the pot' time. (Please accept my apology for use of this expression. But dang it, my patience is wearing thin.) Bring on the vote.

Vote it up. GOVERN!

Govern and the people will support the leadership. Do nothing and the Democratic Party deserves nothing but the people's scorn.

So what do you do now?

4. What am I going to do?
I am going to vote for the few candidates/incumbents that serve to advance and protect my needs and interests.

How am I going to determine who those candidates/incumbents are? I'm going to look at how they propose to fund the public treasury and how they propose to use those public funds. I'm going to look at how they acquired their personal fortune and how they have used it. I'm going to look at who has financed their campaign efforts - and what their motivations were. If they have previously served in office I am going to look at their prior performance and affiliations. And I'm going to look at their character. I know that someone who deceives and does not keep commitments to a spouse, children or employees is likely to fail to uphold my own interests.

No more voting for the best of two bad choices. No more voting for a candidate/incumbent just because of the party affiliation they claim - or reject. If there isn't a major party candidate that will serve my needs and interests then I will seek out a third party candidate. If there isn't a third party candidate that serves my needs and interest then I will abstain from voting. Consequences be damned. There is no frickin difference between a Puke that fails to serve my needs and interests and a Dem who does likewise.

We have made politics intensely partsian and idealogical when the work of government is inherently practical. I want a government that works for me. I think that's true of most folks.
