2. Yup, must be a different reason all the wealthy in the world come to America for treatment.
When the wealthy come to America for treatment, can't we just like hold them hostage, give them a huge medical bill, and then keep them hostage until they pay up?

3. Health CARE is not the problem
Edited on Sat Feb-27-10 11:08 PM by dflprincess
it's the fact that access to it is controled by a for profit middle man whose goal is to maximize profits by collecting premiums while finding new and creative ways to force customers to pay more and more of the expenses they (the customer) thought were "covered" out of pocket.

The latest scam, endorsed by the U.S. Congress, will also involve a large transfer of public funds into the pockets of the for profits by subsidizing premiums and still paying for as little care as possible.

18. GOP & Insurance Industry ... in bed together ...
The GOP Opposes Healthcare Reform in Preparation for Their Future Jobs as Lobbyists -- Barbara's Daily Buzz

Want to know why Repuglicans are opposing healthcare reform so vigorously? They are interviewing for future jobs as lobbyists! Rumor has it the pay is millions more than they can make in government:

1,750 companies and organizations hired about 4,525 lobbyists — eight for each member of Congress — to influence health reform bills in 2009.” These groups included 207 hospitals, 105 insurance companies, 85 manufacturing companies, and 745 trade, advocacy, and professional organizations. Overall, “businesses and organizations that lobbied on health reform spent more than $1.2 billion on their overall lobby efforts.”
