C-Span Caller drives the nail home with a single blow
An old boy called into C-Span's Washington Journal this morning and made a simple comment which was, I believe, prophetic. His warning was to the T-baggers. This is what he said:

"Those T-baggers better understand, after you use a T-Bag you throw it away. And that is exactly what the Republicans are going to do with them"

Edited on Sat Feb-27-10 06:32 PM by Enthusiast
I'm done cutting him slack. It isn't a matter of time, as in "first year". His administration is protecting the investment bankers, the risk takers that gambled with our money and ruined the economy. His administration is protecting the insurance industry and pharmaceutical industry with special agreements and such. Where are the new regulations?

46. #1...
Nobody said that we expected him to "correct everything the first year." If you want to converse with me, stick with what I actually say, not some horse shit you make up.

#2 It's been over a fucking year, when exactly does he actually do something? FDR put one million to work within 30 days of taking office. We've continued to hemorrhage jobs, including almost another half million last month. His answer? More fucking tax breaks. How the fuck is that much different from the "neocons."

#3 I'd be willing to bet that you have an income, mine when to ZERO a week ago. I don't have the luxury of "cutting him some slack." I want him to fucking lead or get the fuck out of the way, RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

47. Don't take your anger and frustration out on me.......
#1 I don't really want to talk to you, you sound like an a$$hole.

#2 Prove FDR put one million people to work in 30 days or STFU!

#3 I have no income either, I've been unemployed since October 2009, so shove that "You don't know what it's like, you've got a job" meme up your angry a$$!

I understand that you may be angry to find yourself out of work. I'm out of work, too. So are a lot of people everywhere. But you may need help to find other, more effective ways to channel your anger instead of pathetically dumping on strangers on a message board. Maybe you should start hanging out on Free Republic because you definitely sound like a freeper.

Oh, and just in case you're in doubt, you just got pwned. Deal with it!

33. I'm not sure if I totally agree with this assessment. It seems to offer validation to the notion
that the tea parties are an independent movement that the Republicans are responding to.

In reality, the tea party people are Republicans. The only distinction is that they are far right wing Republicans who believe that the GOP is too moderate and was too liberal during the Bush years. To say that they will be "thrown away" implies that the Republicans won't try to deliver for them. In fact, the Republicans are always moving further and further to the right. When ever they loose they conclude it was because they weren't conservative enough. I see that trend continuing, which will greatly please the tea party people. I expect that Republicans will eventually try to do everything they want--privatize Social Security and Medicare, bankrupt our country, criminalize abortion etc.

44. Sums it up pretty well, but the tea baggers won't listen.
The republicons have been using the religious right and throwing them aside when done with them for years, but they keep coming back for more. The religious zealots actually make some of these tea baggers look intelligent. These fools will never vote in their own best interest as long as someone in the GOP convinces them that that they will stop the government from taking your gun, stop abortion and will keep gays from getting married. As long as you promise these rubes those three things they won't care if the country is being flushed down the toilet. They aren't smart enough to understand or care that none of this other stuff matters if America becomes a third world nation.

45. Great analogy, and he IS absolutely right. The Teabaggers will be just like the religious right,
who were also used to garner votes, then cast aside. The Republican Party cares about protecting corporate America and rich people's money, period. Republicans win elections by convincing the least wealthy in this country to vote against their own economic best interest, in other words by lying to them and making promises they don't or can't keep.
