Breast-Groping MBI Agent Facing Scrutiny
http://www.wftv.com/news/22673764/detail.html

<snip>
A Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations agent is under scrutiny for going too far sexually with a prostitution suspect. The agent was working undercover in an Orlando massage parlor.
...
Xueyan Zhou and Li Cheng were arrested last September at Natural Therapies, an Orlando massage parlor. Undercover agents from MBI conducted an undercover sting and arrested the two for prostitution.

According to documents and audio from the bust, Zhou gave Agent James Edmundson a massage. He was naked during the massage and, at one point, he said he grabbed Zhou's breast before arresting her.

<snip>

The fine folks at the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations are at it again. This is the same organization that spent $200,000 on alcohol and lap dances at a local Orlando strip club before arresting a couple of dancers, only to have all the charges tossed out in court. This is also the same organization that harassed a small mom-and-pop video store until they eventually closed for good. Their crime? They had a separate adults-only section where adults could rent or purchase adult movies. This is the same group that trolls Craigslist, going after escorts. But not before getting their own fair share, I'm sure.

If anybody has ever watched the documentary "Texas Taliban", this is the type of organization we're dealing with. They operate as if they are above the law. In fact, they are not under the jurisdiction of the Orlando Police Department or the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Nor are they under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Justice. They are a Task Force that was created by the Ninth Judicial Circuit, operating out of over a dozen local, state, and federal.

This is an outrage. There is not a single day here in Central Florida where we don't hear about somebody getting shot, stabbed, robbed, beaten, or raped. Our state and local economies are in a free-fall, slashing services left and right. And yet we somehow have thousands of dollars available to make sure that nobody gets a "happy ending" to their massage. Fucking unbelievable.

I will be writing my congressman - Alan Grayson - about this. We need to get our priorities straight, and there's not a better politician to raise hell than him!

3. War on Drugs, War on Sex - doesn't seem like we're winning, does it?
How many billions have we spent prosecuting this "war" on drugs, and going after prostitution? Despite all that, not only have we not made a dent, but both businesses are thriving.

Legalize both, and regulate them.

4. Okay, correct me if I'm wrong, but...where's the prostitution in all this?
Edited on Sat Feb-27-10 12:46 AM by Wednesdays
I mean, doesn't the definition of prostitution include some sort of sexual "touching" on her part? If I'm not mistaken, nothing like that occurred. Not only that, but I'd think that to be legally considered prostitution, money has to be exchanged--and that money is clearly in exchange for sexual activity. For example, let's say I visit a hairdresser in her private office, I pay her...then during the course of my haircut we start making out and then have sex. Is she guilty of prostitution?

It could very well be that the women in the massage parlor have been involved in prostitution in the past, but in this case I don't think they meet that threshold.
