Health Care No Stranger To Reconciliation Process
Excellent NPR article showing how, contrary to what Republicans may suggest, reconciliation has been used in health care reform before.

You all must have heard of COBRA, the emergency health insurance people can get in case they lose their jobs. Well, COBRA stands for "Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act," and you guessed why it has that name: Because it passed via reconciliation.

The CHIP (children insurance) and a Medicaid expansion in 1984 were also passed via reconciliation.
