You'll love this. I was arguing with a freeper type yesterday...
and he was trying to claim that he wasn't prejudicially biased against progressives by claiming: "My wife is a member of the ***** Democratic Club and a card-carrying socialist".

Uh, dude, a couple points.

First, socialists don't carry cards anymore. Don't know that they ever did.

Second, she's not a very good socialist if she's a Democrat, now, is she? I mean, true socialists HATE Democrats!

This is what we're up against folks. Facts and data are nothing to them. They take as true what they WISH to be true.

Bernie Sanders is a self-described socialist, and he's a great senator who caucuses with us.

5. Okay, perhaps I stated it a bit too strongly, BUT....
You'll notice that Sanders is an INDEPENDENT. He's not a member of the Democratic Party. WHy? Because he's a socialist. And any socialist with a conscience (which, I take to be most of them) wouldn't register as Democrats, either.
