I want to apologize to Republicans for having a chronic illness.

Republican members at today's health care summit noted the costs of my health care. I'm a part of that group of Medicare beneficiaries that are high cost members of the program.

I didn't set out to pose a financial burden to Medicare. Yet it seems I've got some responsibility for the program. And I agree.

I paid into the program over 25 years of my employment. I feel it's a contract among us all.

So, I'd suggest Republicans take my apology in context.

I am sorry that I am not a millionaire or at least damn wealthy,sorry I am not healthy and sorry I don't have ample insurance to cover every drug and test I am forced to take.
At the same time I am also sorry that many of you are my peer group and still cannot have the empathy to understand that we are also citizens,tax payers and have pulled in many working hours in our lifetime. I am sorry you lack the compassion and understanding that it takes to help your fellow man. I am sorry that you are so selfish that you cannot think beyond your core group of buddies. Strangers in your opinion should just go away and quit draining from your profits and country club dues. How dare we use Medicare and complain because even with it our meds are so costly that we have to do without many things you take for granted.
I am sorry. Sorry that we ever got to this point in this country that the haves control what the have nots can have. I am sorry that they can give themselves a raise every time you turn around yet complain that we are draining the system.
