1. It's a far less entertaining place than it used to be.
Only the crazies appear to remain.

26. Not to mention completely depressing. It's like Jonestown over there.

2. Of course he did.
So, go ahead Jim -

MAKE MY DAY. BAN ME. I DARE YOU.

Skinner would have done the same thing, I'd betcha.

On the other hand, given the level of distaste for Rudy among conservatives, why is he still considered the 'front-runner'?

7. I think DU has had way way worse said about it by posters who didn't get banned.
Don't quote me on that!

15. I don't Know.
I'm sorta new here. Still, I would have banned him. It was pretty disrespectful.

8. Rudy's Probably Popular Among GOP Voters
Edited on Sat Apr-28-07 10:14 PM by VogonGlory
Rudy's probably popular among "regular" GOP voters, not the ones strongly tied to the so-called "conservative" movement and the Religious Right. He'd probably do a lot better among independent voters than the rest of what the GOP currently has to offer the electorate after eight years of Buckaroo Bush and Dead-Eye Dick.

As for me, I hope Divine Providence shows mercy on our great republic, and that the GOP tears itself to bits during the primaries and afterwards. I hope that the Republican Party's right wing gets it wish and that Giuliani gets soundly thumped, and then the Republican Party's right wing gets to find out what the rest of the American electorate really thinks of it in November.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I wonder how much sympathy emigre Freepers would get in Dubai or Paraguay in 2009 and afterwards?

11. After the 2008 elections...
Edited on Sat Apr-28-07 10:26 PM by Archae
I know exactly what the Freepers will be doing.

They will blame for their huge loss:

1. "The liberal news media" (Including Fox.)
2. "Voter fraud." (Which they never can find evidence of)
3. George Soros. (Even though Scaife and Moon out-spend him by a great deal.)
4. Liberal Blogs. (Even though there are far more "conservative" ones.)

Anybody, and anything, except their "chosen ones."

13. More Freeperstani Excuses
(5) George W. Bush wasn't a real conservative

(6) George W. Bush wasn't "conservative" enough.

(7) It was the fault of international money interests who pulled the plug on the US economy and caused a recession.

16. You may be right.
But the 'regular' GOP couldn't win a dog-catcher election without the conservatives. I can only guess what they would doby what i would do, but would you vote for Leiberman if he won the Democratic primaries? Republican, or Republican-lite, if that's the choice you're faced with? Wouldn't you do everything possible to make sure he didn't win the primaries?

23. Perhaps they understand, as Rudy, does, the grave threat posed by
elephant poop, ferrets and people who work until 2am*. Rudy is the only candidate who takes those things seriously and has a plan to deal with them.

Rudy 2008: A proven track record against elephant poop, ferrets and Amadou Diallos!

There are some intelligent folks and creative spellers over there.

No one would ever make fun of a special ed class again, after 15 minutes of looking at that place.

4. The Fray over at Slate
has blocked a lot of posters, me for one, and they wouldn't tell me why. They say they don't allow cut and paste. I don't know how. They say they don't allow top posting to call another poster out, I never ever did. I only post stuff like I do here. I went back a couple of times but I could not post and most of the people were using filthy language, and knocking democrats. So I suppose since I made no secret of the fact that I was a dem that's why...because most of the posters are republican orientated. Ever since the Washington Post bought the site they have been saying they were going to change. And most of the people I posted with for 11 years are not there any more.

IBTL means in before the lock... but I've no clue as to what the Z stands for... did they add it just to look cool or something?

In Before The Zot...Zot was mentioned several times, damned if I know what a "zot" is, either a lock or a banning, or maybe a Removal of the thread...

In any case, they are really pathetic, just go w/the RW flow, never question, never wonder, never think.

20. "Zot" is the sound made by a lightningbolt in the comic strip "B. C."
Which concerns itself with the antics of cave-dwelling religious fundementalists. Sounds like al Qaeda, n'est pas? Why do freepers hate America?

21. LOL...Right! I loved BC...
One of my favorites was BC and Wiley were looking at clouds and describing them.

"That one looks like a goose." "That one looks like a big fish" "That one looks like a big rock", in the next panel, Wiley is squished by a rock...:D
