Health care smackdown part III

Jon Kyl (R AZ) again says premium costs will go up under the Senate plan.

Prez Obama takes a third grade teacher role in explaining the CBO report: "If a person has a high deductible plan with no other coverage and the Senate plan goes into effect they can opt to buy a better coverage plan for the same cost. It's like buying an apple now and then finding out you can buy an orange for the same cost or a bit more. Of course if you like you can keep the apple, it will just cost less . . ." (paraphrasing)

Obama goes on to point out that insurance companies reduce the size of the insured pool by dropping high risk/sick clients but not reducing costs to the remaining healthy policy holders. He then takes on John Boner, I mean Boehner, by name looking him right in the face on that topic. Boner, I mean Boehner, says NOTHING so Jon Kyle steps in to speak for Boner, I mean Boehner. These "leaders" reallllllly don't want to get any of this on them!

The avoidance of R leadership in this conversation is absolutely amazing and so obvious that it's comedic.

2. Someone should explain to both Obama and Kyl (among others)

that premium costs will continue to go up as long the greed of for profit middle men, who contribute nothing to health care (but do contribute to politicians), are put ahead of our need for health care.
