So it comes down to this: either we get a little bit of reform in the medical system
that may or may not help a few people by 2014 or we get business as usual...

Either way, it doesn't look all that well for the most of us...

No wonder people are fed up with politics.

I really don't care anymore whose fault is was and how we got here.

I just want someone with enough political resolve to actually do something for the people, something more than a little sticker on your credit card bill that tells you how long it will take for you to pay off the balance if you pay only the minimum. Hooray for our side...

I know there has been a lot more but the people out there don't know that so essentially, that little sticker is what people see as the full accomplishments for the people from this Congress and this president.

I hope the second half of this "summit" produces something of value, something that can actually help.

I missed the first part because I am, ironically, sick and slept through it.

I am hoping that the second half will produce something of use for me and you and all 300+ million of us who aren't fortunate enough to be in one of those 400 family's at the top 1% who control as much power as the Roman Senators in the days before Caesar.

Don't worry. Im sure the costs of inefficient private insurance will be passed around enough in a shell game that you wont even notice them for a while

3. Imagine if Republicans butcher the subsidies like they did with college aid/grants

Then all you are left with is mandates, mandates, mandates. You don't even get to hide the costs that you aren't controlling.

5. The medical system isn't the big problem
it's the insurance system - and all we're getting is a bill that will embed those crooks even further.
