OK, who can tell me what is wrong with this picture?
From the Raw Story's page

"The Bush administration will not try to assess whether the troop increase in Iraq is producing signs of political progress or greater security until September, and many of Mr. Bush’s top advisers now anticipate that any gains by then will be limited," an article in Saturday's New York Times reports.

Oh, really?

THEN WTF WAS IT FOR?????????????

Hmm, they might not answer that right away, I fear...........

1. They have no plan. They have no goal.
The surge is more bullshit. It won't be long, however, until the level of insanity in Iraq is so severe that we will be forced to withdraw in a panic.

4. The plan is just to stay there.
They don't care how miserable living conditions are for Iraqis, or how many people die. They just want to control whoever controls the oil. Everything else is a stalling tactic.

9. not true. they have a clear plan and they are executing it perfectly
run out the clock

maximize the crony war profiteering haul

keep Iraqi oil off the market

their only remaining agenda item is to sew up future control of Iraqi oil

10. Oh they have a plan all right...
...run out the clock, keep the dollars flowing to their cronies, dump the whole mess in the lap of a Democratic president, then when we pull out, blame the Democrats for being "weak on defense".

And it will work, unless we are able to head them off.

5. Petraeus told the repukes, in their secret meeting, it would take until Sept. before anything would
be accomplished by the 'surge' and the repukes told HIM...he has until Sept. and if nothing is better, they will pull their support for the war in Oct..... so they can save their sorry asses in the '08 election.

How many soldiers will die between NOW and September?

7. Didn't "Betrayus" originally say that it would be a matter of months
and then he could realistically assess the situation? Why, then, is the new "timeline" September. I thought they didn't want to alert the enemy! F*cking liars. They need to be brought up on TREASON charges. :grr:

8. Maybe we have to wait until September because of this:
Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, visiting Iraq last week, declared that the "clock is ticking" for political progress. He urged Iraq's parliament not to take a scheduled two-month recess and to pass by the end of summer both an oil law and a proposal to reverse the de-Baathification law.

I guess we have to wait until they get back from vacation before we can make any assessment as to the progress the surge has made.

11. You might have something there
After all, there's a lot of brush weed on that ranch that has to be
cleared off, right? National Security! Let's get our priorities straight!
That brush weed is threatening our borders, our women and children! Better
clear it off in Texas before it gets to Washington! Fearless Leader will
save us. I know, I heard it Rocky and Bullwinkle 50 years ago.

12. It's a "Don't just stand there. Look like we're doingSOMETHING" move.
It doesn't even qualify for the sports jargon "Hail Mary Pass". At least the football survives.
