14. Yes, they and Worldcom were the first. How did Bush* obfuscate, you ask?
1. Prosecutions were weak. Enron chief faked his death (allegedly) to halt all other prosecutions.
2. Enron/MCI Worldcom stole California's wealth and, instead of helping CA with $$ and prosecutions and laws, they helped eject the Dem Gov Davis and install the Governator. 10 years later, CA is still broke.

Halliburton. Exxon, BP, Shell, Citibank. All the state govt's who contracted offshore (indian and phillipine and Costa Rican) call centers to handle child support and any other service they could pay our tax dollars too.

And . . . yet again . .. during his occupations. Smart move.

Honorable Mention - the mere notion of putting SS into the stock market in 2005. SS is insurance, not investment. How anyone could even TOY with such an idea, especially during that year, makes me question their competency.
