So Brown crossed party lines on his second major vote in the Senate, huh? Sided with the Democrats.

Here's Brown's statement:

I came to Washington to be an independent voice, to put politics aside, and to do everything in my power to help create jobs for Massachusetts families. This Senate jobs bill is not perfect. I wish the tax cuts were deeper and broader, but I voted for it because it contains measures that will help put people back to work.

I was disappointed with the continuation of politics-as-usual in the drafting of this bill, as it was crafted behind closed doors, without transparency and accountability. I hope for improvements in that process going forward. All of us, Republicans and Democrats, have to work together to get our economy back on track. I hope my vote today is a strong step toward restoring bipartisanship in Washington.

He voted against Obama’s pick for the U.S. labor board in his first vote.

They had such high hopes for him.

edited to add 'yet'

5. More tax cuts???????????????
Deeper? Longer? on Steroids???? Can someone please pull these fellas aside and explain to them that spending more while earning less is NOT mathematically possible???

Did Bush not teach us that you cannot two wars and cut taxes multiple times and expect things to turn out good?

The first hard core bastard who has the guts to state, "Low Taxes, Imperialistic Military, and Social Programs, you may have two out of the three." wins my vote.

6. He might be a guy that wants to keep his job.
Lets see if he actually does what his constituents want. I would expect him to have to if he has any chance of holding on to that particular seat.

8. Exactly. A lot of union workers supported him and he knows who his constituency is
Funny, though, that the GOP and Tea Party folks claim his victory as one of their own, and then Brown votes with the Dems. And this, just days after his appearance at CPAC. Too funny.

10. Sure looks that way.
Because he's quickly blowing his 2012 Presidential candidate chances to be the new Sarah Palin of the Party. I suppose the political calculus is rather simple - vote like a teabagger and he's toast in 2012. Fine, whatever it takes to get a majority agenda passed in this Congress. A few more moderate Republicans to counterbalance the Conservative Democrats in the Senate is fine with me.
