Jay Leno's guest 2nd night back - Sarah Palin
Just in: Here are Jay Leno's guests for the first two weeks of his return to the Tonight Show. What do you think?

Monday, March 1 – Guests include Jamie Foxx, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn and a musical performance by Brad Paisley

Tuesday, March 2 – Guests include Sarah Palin, Olympic snowboarder Shaun White

1. Haha, I just finished reading that. Did you read the comments? Poor
Jay, a loser before he even gets going. I'm glad she's on with Shaun White though, he's the one that will get the audience going...LOL.

3. I think Leno is an asswipe.

And he can have whatever guests he can scrape up. I still won't watch his sorry ass show.

Go Conan. Go Dave. Fuck you Leno.

22. Unfair
That's not really fair. A lot of people brand Jay as being on the Right because Dave is clearly on the Left. But it's not true.

I've been watching Jay for years and it is fairly clear he doesn't agree with the Far Right. He tries to play it down the middle, ribbing both sides, but no one could savage Bush like Jay did for years. One of his most favorite guests was Bill Maher, whom he defended when ABC canceled his show after 9/11.

When Jay went Primetime, I don't think his usual writers joined him because the jokes definitely shifted more to the Conservative side, and he had on guests like Limbaugh & Beck.

But when they were on, Jay challenged them on some of the things they had been saying and he clearly didn't agree with them (watch his Palin interview and I suspect he'll have at least one "uncomfortable" question for her), but he didn't push the issue because he doesn't want anyone to label him.

He had Maher and Michael Moore on his Primetime show, and typically is not as critical of them as he is with the wingnuts.

The Conan debacle was a mess, but it wasn't Jay's fault or due to anything Jay did. The ratings were simply better with Jay in that timeslot than with Conan.

8. Ahnold's buddy has Palin on his first week? What a surprise. Leno is a Dinosaur.
His audience is aging like Fox News' audience is. They are the same people.

He should go there.

14. Does Leno pick his guest or does the Network
I always assumed it was the producers of the show who were in charge of scheduling guests. I don't too much care for his show, but he may not have much of a choice if his producers tell him who's going to be on the show.

17. Well that's really stupid. Palin has only 7% of the Repub vote.
Maybe he's counting on her to say something really stupid before March 2. It could happen.

19. They don't care how many will vote for her.
It's all about ratings. If 93% tune in to see a train wreck, that's money in their pockets.
