No MSNBC at W Hotels
At least not the last three (3) I've stayed in. Is this a policy? Two Fox channels.

:freak:

1. I found Fox to be the channel of choice all across the nation
as I traveled through it last year.

9. Murdock owns everything...faux news is pushed everywhere...and
this is why ratings are higher...this should be pushed to be stopped...when I moved from Los Angeles to rural Oregon all you could get on radio was rush, religion and western music...

7. The magazine, not the imbecile
Can you imagine what that W Hotel would be like? Free pretzels, Segway shuttle service, separate beds, and of course the doorman:

3. I've often wondered if "soft dollars" are involved here...
It works like this... I'll pay your cable bill if you take the package I pay for.

4. Marriotts carry MSNBC, as do Omni Hotels & Holiday Inn
that plus free interet/wi-fi are deal-breakers when I travel.

5. Financial incentives?
There must be financial incentives that fox is offering.
On the level 1 of DISH, they now show fox but not MSNBC. For their cheapest family tier, the only news station is fox.

Also - when they calculate ratings, do they factor in the number of households that are able to receive the competing stations? I doubt it. This is another way fox has outfoxed the media game.

6. I stayed at the W in the Chicago Loop once.....
..... I wasn't that impressed anyway.

The Wit Hotel on the other side of the Loop blows it away.....and they've got MSNBC.

On a related note, I noticed that a Hyatt Regency I stayed at recently seemed to have an abundance of Fox-family channels.

8. Fox News is included in every subscription of satellite, not msnbc.

At least I have to pay more to have msnbc. Maybe it is just a matter of cutting cost.
