Obama's HCR proposal trims individual mandate penalty
The House and Senate bills both require payments from individuals who choose not to get health care coverage. Obama's plan lowers the maximum penalty for individuals.

Therefore making a bad idea less bad.

And mandates will ALWAYS be a BAD idea, no matter how many loop holes you attach.

4. I'm not against ALL mandates --
Clean air, clean water, worker safety, etc --

I'm against this mandate because it merges private business
and government services.
Not unlike the military industrial complex.
Once merged -- we will not fix that.
And no it won't be regulated the way say electric companies are.

2. How is it that 'health care' required private health insurance?

3. We can hold our breath for fixing it suppose.
Though why intelligent -- living with good examples of health care all around
them -- have to create a system with penalties
is a mystery.

Hope and change without previous verification.
