1. What is "unearned income."

2. I think it means income that you receive other than thru employment.

For instance, I receive income from bonds that pay a certain percentage to me in return for my initial investment. It provides income for me now that I am retired.

3. Social Security is "unearned income", which is simply income other than "wages"
