something HUGh this way comes.... (gut feeling)
It's that creepy gut feeling of building anticipation or dread over something you aren't sure about. Where you feel "SOMETHING" is going to happen, but don't know what.

I got hit with one of those yesterday at work. Most times I just let the feeling stew for awhile to gauge how 'strong' or persistent it feels.

When I woke up this morning, the gut feeling was still there, and still as strong and persistent.

It has nothing to do with my personal life events. It's more of a something at the NATIONAL level. It's a giddy anticipatory feeling, the kind that brings a grin to your face.

There's something in the background that has been simmering for awhile, but we (as a nation) haven't been made aware of it. And it's BIG, REALLY BIG.

The bushies have been balancing at the tipping point for quite awhile. Whatever it is that I'm feeling at the gut level will push the bushies over the tipping point.

Call it the last straw, the smoking gun, the dot that connects the whole picture - it has nothing to do with one individual issue or scandal, but rather the sum of all the parts.

My gut tells me the curtain will be drawn back and all will be revealed by the middle of this coming week.

Anyone else getting the same feeling?

1. I get those periodically as well...
I posted one a couple weeks back....bipolar posts in response...either 'I hope you're right' or 'I've been listening to those here at DU for years now and it never comes to pass..."

I hope you're right.

5. It occured to me that it may just be "over active" wishful thinking
but a gut check tells me no, doesn't feel like over active hopeful giddy feeling

It's going to be soon after bush vetos the Iraq funding. The veto is the starting gun going off.

Although Iraq will be a part of it - Iraq is not the WHOLE thing, Iraq is just one card in the house of cards.

It involves EVERYTHING from the (s)election of 2000/2004, 9-11, Afghanistan/Iraq, Abramoff, US Attorney firings, Enron, World Bank, no-bid contracts, Halliburton, gas/oil prices, the economy etc.

EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED.

9. I heard some discussion last night on how Bush is going to veto
the funding bill. They were wondering if he would have a big ceremony to show people he really means business or just veto it and send it back without a lot of fanfare. What would be the reaction if he does a big public affair, say in the Rose Garden with his usual "patriotic" background of flags, the troops and their families? Would his supporters finally realize that all he cares about is the power he can wield and that he really doesn't give a damn about the will of the people or about the soldiers who have to fight his war? I think that this event alone will be some sort of watershed moment.

6. the emperor is naked...
his marc jordan outfit (with cape) from the paris show really is all hot air! bush is a dick dangling dingbat, and the proof dangles in front of our eyes, right on tv. The 'summer cut' jeans that bush 'fills out' so well, according to tweety chris mathews, in fact don't EVEN exist, and there's nothing but a big arse filling up cnn/foxnews screens (mathews is a bush loving jackass, i suspect)...'all arse, all the time' is cnn's real motto(?) and that's plain silly
The 'big event' is simply that the parallel universe of mediawhoredom suddenly doesn't work (Iraq wasn't liberated, Saddam wasn't a monster, bush just is not Jesus H Christ!) etc..
I think this is what you're referring to: Dr Hunter Thompson used to moan 'How long, oh Lord, how long!' and maybe the answer is nigh

7. I've been feeling the same way for a bit now and
I think it's because I've never seen SO much go SO wrong SO quickly in SO many areas of this administration in such a short time. This house of cards is falling so fast I can't keep up with it all! I'll stock up on beer and wait for mid-week!!

8. My gut tells me that your gut is just a gut
Good for digestion, not so good for divining things that haven't occurred yet.

10. Maybe we need a giant's gut. here. PNAC is still controlling things.
Edited on Sat Apr-28-07 08:02 AM by higher class
Rumsfeld Feith Bolton gone, but still active.
Wolfowitz nearly gone.
Too many still there.
AIPAC AEI Heritage Federalist Society - and tons more are still in place.
Cheney Hadley Rice Addington Rove Gonzales and tons more are still in place.
The corporations and foundations and their corpacracy are gaining.
The barons still have their agenda.

The royalty Bush family still active - Bush Sr to speak at Rev Moon event, talk of Jeb's candidacy.

Corporate networks and newspapers are still working against the citizens and for the WH.

Few opposing foundations exist to counter AIPAC AEI Heritage and no massive groups of lawyers organized to save the Constitution in opposition to those who want to revise it to corporate and religious standards (according to Fed Society goals). And the media wouldn't publish anything about them, anyway.

Those who rule us are still entrenched. Decades of planning put them at their pinnacle or they are still climbing, with a few slips.

A costly naval maneuver is going on. All staged for bombing. We're paying thousands of private mercenaries and their corporate owners a ton of money to kill to round up men from the streets of the world and place them in private unmarked jets to fly them to prisons all over the world and torture them.

We only seem to have three things - citizens who are waking up, citizens who are doing the work of investigative journalists and news reporters, and a Congress and Senate who are fighting to save the balance of powers according to our Constitution and to save some treaties.

We should also give credit to the people of other countries who are not approving the policies coming out the the PNAC rule we are under. (PNAC to me includes all the support foundations with their grooming schools and the barons.)

12. Now and then I get those too.
I don't really trust them too much anymore because apparently the rest of this country does not really care enough to force these horrible people out. However, this time with all that is going on and more people coming aware you might have something.

These two things just may clear the eyes of most of the rest...

The veto and this http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x776551

If the veto does not make it absolutely clear to the American public that Bush** does not give one rat's ass about what they want and that this is no longer their country then watching him "liberate" a country for whatever nasty untruthful reason only to turn around and take over their new "democracy" because it is not going the way he wants it to should. It has to doesn't it? I mean really, these days I have little faith that many of our fellow citizens care but isn't this just too far for even the most TV addled among us? Ahhh, never mind. We can't even talk most of our representatives into believing that this must end now. Coffee now and I will come to my senses. :hi:
