In January, the number of US deaths in Afghanistan doubled the record January of last year. The number of US deaths went from 15 in 01/09 to 30 in 01/10. In 2009, the number was twice as much as the number in 01/08.

With ten days left in February, we have already lost 22 compared to 15 in Feb, of '09.

2009 was the deadliest year in Afghanistan for US troops, with 317 deaths. 2010 has been twice as deadly so far.

Makes war sorta cool. Makes those deaths almost worth it, eh?

Aren't we supposed to be talking about their body count instead of ours?

2. We aren't really supposed to talk about the dozen civilians

we bombed TWICE to take the won, either. Or the hundreds of innocents we kill with our drones. Or the thousands killed through years of war in Afghanistan. Or those displaced internally and externally. And, why won't we, the United States, accept Afghanistan refugees. We destroy their county, make it a deadly war zone, yet won't welcome them here.

The ONLY deaths we are supposed to talk about are 'high-ranking' and 'Number 2s'.
