Whoa... CPAC Speaker Rails Against Gays, Draws Boos - HuffPo
CPAC Speaker Rails Against Gays, Draws Boos

<snip>

California Young Americans for Freedom's Ryan Sorba took the stage at CPAC on Friday and proceeded to condemn the conference for it's association with a group of gay Republicans.

"I'd like to condemn CPAC for bringing GOPride to this event," Sorba said. His comments were met with boos and howls from the audience, to which he replied:

"Bring it, bring it, I love it." He continued:

"Guess what. Civil rights are grounded in natural rights. Natural rights are grounded in human nature."

More boos.

Sorba then addressed one member of the audience who had apparently stood up to shout him down.

"The lesbians of Smith College protest better than you do," Sorba shot back, before leaving the stage.

1. Not surprised
racism, homophobia and sexism often are all present in many of these folks. It's like they come in a set. It's nice he got heckled by some.

3. There's something else going on here
Yes, they're homophobes.

I think it's just that they don't like someone telling them that they're homophobes.

Also, GOPride is starting to gain some conservative credibility, unlike the pathetic "Log Cabin" Republicans.

It's all madness, I know. But it makes sense to THEM.

5. As a friend used to say when people finally took off their social "mask"...
and revealed themselves for the asshats that they really were:

"Gee...thank you for the information about yourself"

When Republicans/Conservatives tell you who they are, believe them.
