2. Yes but this is a person of color purposively flying a plane into a government building
The right wing media would be all over it like shit on fleas that this was some major terrorist plot and that Obama was sleeping on the job or something.

4. Right, because no other golfers have ever been serial philanderers
or gotten a divorce over infidelity. Obviously not, because as you say it would received this much coverage if it had ever happened before. Yes, the PGA was good and pure before Tiger came along and ruined it for everyone.

7. Tiger Woods is a phenom. No one cared about golf until he made it cool
So, in reply to your point, no one would of gave a damn earlier about some nerdy guy in some nerdy sport who couldn't keep it in his pants. Now, enter the greatest golfer yet, known world over, who saved the sport from a boring quiet extinction, and you get a little different result.

8. Right. Jack Nicklaus? Arnold Palmer?
Never heard of them. There we no famous golfers before Tiger. And certainly none of them that were cheating on their wives.

9. Matter of scale.
Nicklaus and Palmer were relatively famous golfers. Woods is a superstar by any measure.

10. In his time, Arnold Palmer was a superstar, too. He was the best of the best.
Just like Tiger. A household name, when most people didn't even know what the PGA was.

Perhaps you don't remember when Tiger was starting out just who he was being compared to.

11. No, no, I get it.
But at no time in Palmer's career did he ever have the sheer numbers Woods does. No athlete from then could've, to be fair.

12. Yes, no one cared they were cheating. In fact, hardley anyone cared they were alive.
Yes, I know the names. How many young boys had pictures of them on a wall and idolized them? And Tiger?

You don't get it. Golf has taken a MAJOR transformation just since Tiger Woods has been involved. The general public actually watches it now (not just boring nerdy old men with nothing else to do on the weekend)

13. How old are you?
You obviously weren't alive in the 50's and 60's. Arnold Palmer was one of the most famous people in the country. Seriously.

14. I'm an articulate 13 year old
Subsequently, I never heard of Golf until I saw Tiger on the cover of Sports Illustrated. It probably wasn't establish before then I take it. Despite his rockstar look and fame, it still seems a rather nerdy sport with less appeal than curling. But Ill give it a shot because he is so cool

21. Tiger Woods is one of the most famous people in the world
and that's the difference. Sports like Golf are just market differently and followed differently than the 60s. Today places like China, India, Japan follow and are heavily marketed in ways that were impossible in the 1960s. The only one in sports to compared to Tigers status was Ali.

had a sexual addiction. Sex is very titillating and it sells. That's what they will go with. I seriously doubt skin color has anything to do with it.

16. Yep Tiger is just another golfer.
It has nothing to do with him being the most recognized man in the world or the first athlete to earn over a billion dollars.

19. If my cousin had been at the office
my cousin would still be dead regardless of the pilot's race.

As it was, a co-worker was killed. Would s/he be any less dead if the pilot was "someone of color?"

22. To us the Austin pilot is a terrarist
to the teabagging media, not so much. Tiger Woo is the shiznit, pays their bills and
it sell.

Ever wonder why the media will vilified a colored person more than a European person?
simple, colored person in trouble sells more to the teabagging public of America than
a European looking individual.

Colored sells fair.
