The entire Republican Party is morphing into the Tea Party...
Edited on Fri Feb-19-10 01:00 AM by kentuck
.

Their wave of populism so huge and strong, that none of them is able to withstand its powerful pull. One would almost think they are turning into the Party of the People right before our eyes. They must stand out in front of the crowd and defend the billionaire propagandist, Rush Limbaugh. But, for factual purposes, he is reported to have earned a contract just worth a bit more than a quarter of a billion dollars.

The Republican leaders, on the phone every day to Sarah Palin, recruited her to court the "Tea-baggers" into the Republican Party. But many of the "tea-baggers" aren't falling for it. The old and esteemed Republican Party sees that it is out-numbered by the "Tea-baggers", so they follow the old axiom, "if you can't beat 'em, then join 'em". So they all become "Tea-baggers". All you need to do is watch a little of the CPAC meeting to know that it is true. They are not going to listen to the likes of George Will. They are a Dick Cheney crowd.

peace...kentuck

2. The Freepers now thing Cheney is a RINO because of DADT!
EVERYBODY is a "RINO" to these tea party nuts...the only candidate they would ever endorse would be right of Mussolini and totally unelectable to the general public!

I LOVE IT!

3. During the last election, I thought the GOP would split into al least two

parties, one the more moderate, the other wildly crazy. This seems to be what is happening now. The "real" GOP is trying to keep the 'baggers votes, but the ultra conservative 'baggers don't trust the "real" GOP and are calling for e complete split. Since the GOP has such a small number of voters to begin with, I applaud the 'baggers in their efforts and I hope they raise a lot of money that would have gone to the GOP. I hope BOTH parties on the right field a lot of candidates-the more, the better-so they can all fight among themselves about who is more American and more truly conservative.

I also hope that Democrats actually field at least some good candidates and that we all VOTE this November.

Rec.
