Even folks here think he's a Teabagger. That's an bad place to be pigeonholed for a minute.

6. Hell, no!
We'd never get beyond the herbal/caffeinated, green or black debate.

7. There Have Been Progressive Tea Parties for Decades
but they have never had an echo chamber on TV to magnify them out of proportion.

There have been protests against the Vietnam and Iraq war stretching halfway down the mall, and complete silence on the news networks. Or maybe a few seconds about kids slashing tires.

These pathetic little tea parties are not a mass movement and do not even come close to justifying the hype surrounding them.

8. It's a great illustration of how thoroughly owned the press corpse is.

If it weren't for Skinner, Beach Impeach 3 might not have even happened. We had 1k the first time and decent press as an oddity, a coupla hundred more the second time and the press started pulling back, and as soon as that started to grow, the press shut down, whoosh. Blackout. It was unreal.

As it was, word of mouth and a few generous people kept us going -- even though the event was so popular, that we had people interrupting their picnics and jogs and sightseeing and joining us right there as the event was ongoing.

9. At the First Bush Inauguration,
I swear there were as many protesters as supporters. Never would have known it from the TV news. Things like that make a huge difference in public perception over time.
