The "health" care industry is cannibalizing the rest of the economy!

I said this six months ago!

All the people who listened to the conservative LIARS about health care reform are now going to get raped by the health insurance companies.

All the people at the town hall meetings who said, "I don't care if millions of Americans can't get health insurance, I got mine so back off"...

Here it comes... RATE HIKES OF UP TO 40% All over the country.

It was EASY to figure out what was going to happen if HCR didn't pass. ESPECIALLY the demonized PUBLIC OPTION! All we had to do was look at what happened with the credit card reform bill when Bernie Sanders' amendment to cap interest rates at 15% failed. It was the CC bill's version of the public option. The minute Obama signed it without the cap, the banks said....

ALLY ALLY IN COME FREE FREE FREE!

And raised interest rates to 30% on millions of Americans.

Now the same thing is going to happen to health insurance!

My fellow Americans it's still time to stop the slaughter!

SUPPORT HEALTH CARE REFORM AND SUPPORT THE PUBLIC OPTION!

You've been deceived by the conservatives. They LIED TO YOU!

Will you help us now?

3. I am against the mandate too. The public option is the only thing that will keep down costs

4. Right. But the "Health Care Reform" that failed was mandatory insurance, no public option, no price
controls whatever.

6. LOL. Yeah right.
And btw, I'm still waiting for ANY explanation whatever for your Taliban Pot thread yesterday. I know it's bad form to bring it up here, but you hit and run on that thread with zero explanation.

8. The only way to end the usury is Single Payer
A public option would be great for some; I'll bet it would still be limited as to who could participate.
No more mixed bag of insurance plans please.

We need to cut out the waste to lower costs; the biggest is insurance company profit.
The civilized world has already made the move. When will we join them?

10. Ooh, but a tax would be baaad

... so we'll just pay 30% of our income in premium, and take lower salaries because our employers have to pay so much, and the Free Market will again protect the populace.

The American capacity for choosing rah rah ideology over genuine, enlightened self-interest boggles the mind.

On the upside, I don't think the health insurance industry is smart enough to quit while it is (vastly, grotesquely) ahead. If it isn't reformed, it will collapse in a fiery meltdown when there's no one left to drag an Healthcare = Hitler picket to a townhall meeting.
