I think I have a new favorite sport to watch and do bongs too...

And the guy in a suit yakin' about the pipes is so out there...

Going on and on, tryin' to make it all offical like when it's really, like, you know, a dude and his board...

4. Shaun White.
He's a really good guy, incidentally! (Don't know the sport either, but wouldn't bother with it! Snowboarding? Men's Halfpipe.)

32. His second run, which he didn't even have to do since he'd already won, was INSANE
He finished it off with a Double McTwist 1260, which is 3 full rotations while doing a double backflip with a grab, and he landed it clean.

Here's a video of him doing that trick in practice a few weeks ago http://snowboarding.transworld.net/1000114672/featuresobf/exclusive-shaun-whites-insane-new-double-mctwist-12/

He was obviously better than all the others. Congrats Shawn.

He seems really cool, a new kind of athlete.

The older sports are getting kind of stale and this really pumps some energy into the whole show...

becoming.

For me, when they started letting all the professional basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. guys (and gals, for all I know) play, the Olympics lost some of its luster for me.

Shaun White? Seems like a nice enough kid when he is interviewed.

I just feel this in one of those sports Americans were good at, so they foisted it on the Olympics.

But what do I know?

Hell, I edited this three times because I can't see my own danged screen. And I am using all ten fingers to type, still can't spell worth a damn.

39. I'd say so. I tried to watch it tonight. it's quite boring.
I can't say it's a sport in any sense of the word. It looks like something that was put into the Olympics so Americans could win more medals.

It's really hard to take this seriously, especially with the huge build up they give it on NBC. And I find the participants to be an insult to the real athletes out there who are skiing downhills, playing hockey and skating.

The Ski Moguls aren't much better. Another non-sport that attempts to make a virtue out of a penchant for hot dogging.
