Could politics be in John Mellencamp's near future?

A movement has sprung up urging the rocker to make a bid for Evan Bayh's Democratic Indiana senate seat. After all, Mellencamp has name recognition and is passionate about causes, even if he has no experience, not Mediaite. Writes Brent Budowsky on The Hill's Pundits blog:
