1. Thanks for posting! I love heirloom tomatoes!
The tomatoes at the grocery store taste like cardboard in comparison. But the heirlooms are so expensive at the farmers' markets!

3. The ones we get seem to go bad in a day or two
and are mushy...even at $3 a lb.

11. I have almost an acre to design into my garden
and I am just in heaven. The work is going to be incredible, but I can hardly wait. I'm planting fruits (tree and vine), vegetables, mushrooms, flowers and am setting up a chicken coop. I spent most of this winter planning, plotting and in general getting info about where to buy and what I need. I go to sleep at night dreaming of how and where to set fence posts and best directions for each element of the garden. I have never been happier in my life. After some of it is done, I will feel an incredible contentment as well...but right now, I just feel revved up wanting to get it started.
