Who was Roger Troy?

By now, you probably know the basics of the story: Troy was a regular at a Hooters restaurant where Blanton worked and became obsessed with her. He sent her and her husband frightening emails, even showed up at her work and blocked in her car. You can read more about the details on our sister station Channel 9's website here.

But I wanted to know a little more about what Troy did before all that. And it seems like pretty banal stuff.

I found his Twitter account. It's now on a private setting, and I don't think it's likely he'll be accepting our friend request. But I can tell you one thing: he was following Neal Boortz's tweets.

Nancy Grace had his neighbor on last night and she said he was into politics and he was to the right of Atila the Hun.

Makes you wonder if he was a freeper.

In the comments section there are some interesting posts. One by a friend of the victim and one by someone who acts like their speaking for Troy's family. So far nobody's picking up on him being a rightie.
