IN-SEN: State Democratic Party will pick nominee
Edited on Tue Feb-16-10 01:54 PM by WeDidIt
Tamyra d’Ippolito didn't get enough signatures, so there will be no primary.

Thus, IN is set up to be a repeat of the Coakley debacle.

1. Why did she lie?
I bought TPM's earlier announcement that she had gotten the rest she needed (yesterday, she'd told them she was 1000 short). Then I even bought her revised story that she didn't have them yet but would have them by the deadline. Well, noon today was the deadline, and apparently she had next to no signatures.

Was she a Republican plant or troublemaker? Or just some cockeyed nut. I'm sure glad she didn't get those signatures.

4. Not a Republican--just a nice concerned individuals without a
good handle on her own campaign efforts. This isn't much of a surprise. She "managed" a congressional campaign in 2008 that makes the Coakley campaign look sharp

2. Yep... another useless Bayh clone DLC piece of shit will be chosen
And will lose to Dan Coats, especially under the recent Supreme Court raping of the political process.

Maybe John Mellencamp should run as an independent?

3. I really hope local dems realize what happened.
Evan Bayh screwed over the state.
With malice aforethought.

First, he grabbed $13 MILL. in donations for this campaign. Then, he planned to leave, telling no one until it was too late to file to get on the ballot for the primary. After that, he told the committee, "You guys can pick the right choice!" translation: pick someone as conservative as me.

In any world where justice exists, bayh should be done as a political candidate forever.
