Wow - One whack job shooter may be a Lefty! And how many RW nutballs have gone on shooting sprees? Or in the case of McVeigh bombed a building costing lives? I don't remember Sludge trumpeting that a spree shooter is a RW nut!

Equally rare that it is a woman who went on a spree though not totally unknown.

1. The only take away from that tragic story is

that it is way too easy to get your hands on guns and ammo in this country.

People who try to make the story about something else don't want you to focus on the real issue.

If not, then I don't see the comparison.

Like how did her past escapades of brother shooting and suspicion of bomb-planting get by UA background checks?

Why did her husband so casually note that she had obtained a gun (from god-knows-where, we now know it was unregistered) and went to the range with her to shoot it? ...PS: With 4 kids in the house, after having been dating her when she killed her brother (the accidental nature of which is disputed)?

Who were the people she was concerned about 'stalking' her in the days before the shooting?

Why did she call her husband to pick her up, then deny that anyone could possibly be dead when arrested?

And why is there no coverage of the dead scientists, who they were, and what they were working on?

It's just really weird.

12. There is no gun registration in AL.

Therefore most EVERY gun in AL in "unregistered". Families/couples regularly go to the range to shoot.
I don't find these points concerning.

My guess is, if she had no felonies or adjucations, she got it from a gun store.
Otherwise, a typical private sale (newspaper classifieds or the internet).
