What would be the "Big deal" if Saddam was still in place?
He was completely isolated and had absolutely zero war making power left. He would be no more of a threat than the North Korean dictator or some other small and basically helpless country's leader. I can't say Iraq is better off now that the USA has killed Iraqis on a grand scale. We survived Libya's Khadofi (sp) and he actually did sponsor terror. I know this is what Republicans claim as their great victory but is it really such a victory?

1. Things Would Not Be One Bit Different
We were sold a bag of goods which cost us lives and trillions of dollars.

2. we'd be richer, more people would be alive,
women in Iraq would be part of society and there would be much more stability in the region and world. Send Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al to the Hague.

5. Saddam
A reasonable person would suggest that killing Saddam or otherwise removing him from power didn't take the "cure dandruff by decapitation" war we had to have to oust him.

I remember reading that Sir Richard Branson was shopping around a plan to spirit Saddam away to some island for him to live out his life instead of the awful war we got instead. "I think the war got started before Sir Richard could get his deal going?

I think this info got lost in some MSM memory hole or something?

The entire war was stupidity on the march for the entire five years it was under Bush/Cheney. It's hard to make a war started for bad reasons by greedy imbeciles into something that benefits humanity. The only benefit to humanity this war gave us was a million less souls on this earth to compete with for food!

6. North Korea

is somewhat of a threat, but there is a reason that North Korea was not invaded by Bu$h. They do have WMDs.

7. There would be slightly more undefined terror
Keep in mind that Abu Ghraib was already there, already a torture prison, etc. etc.

I'm not saying that what the US did was better, but there seems to be a tad bit more *order* to the terror being inflicted on Iraqi civilians, instead of that inflicted by Saddam's *disordered* mind.

Whoopee-dee-dee?
