Did Mika, on today's Morning Joe, mock Rachel Maddow's MTP appearance?
I tuned in late to MJ this morning and heard Mika smirking about "...give back the Bush tax cuts you got to the U.S. Treasury." And then one of the guests said "I think Rachel made a great point." So I'm guessing that Mika was quoting Rep. Schock from yesterday's MTP, after she had called out repubs on hypocrisy in voting against stimulus money and then taking credit for it in their home districts.

I gotta stop oversleeping...

3. I don't think Rachel is that rich either, but perhaps she is making big bucks now.
And I think she'd be the FIRST one to say she happily pays her taxes. Maybe she'll mention it on her show tonight...

7. Harold Ford, Jr. set my teeth on edge. He's the oiliest candidate I have seen in a long time.
He referred to NYC as "my home town." Fortunately, New Yorkers know all about chutzpa and can easily take him with a grain or a sack of salt...

4. Don't know, but Nora O'DONNELL has withering contempt for Mika Mouse
whenever she's on the Scabs circus. When Mouse was first trotting out her book about being over-extended as a working woman and mother-------not to mention over-extended in talent, brains, and conviction-----O'DONNELL (who poses her own problems for us here) SNAPPED at Mouse, "DON'T tell women they can't have it all!1"

5. Mika? Who cares what Mika says?
She's there for one reason, and one reason only: to be the straight man for Joe's lame crap. She is a non-entity, as far as political opinion goes.

12. It really has devolved into the VERY example ...
of how the right wing portrays the political spectrum, and the MSM willingly plays it out ...

Scab is the REAL american who gets to be snarky and defensive and glib, Mika is the "battered spousesque" liberal ...

The show is a trainwreck, REALLY painful to watch ...

Every few weeks, out of wanting to support MSNBC I manage to watch a few minutes, but it repulses me to the point that I can't watch again for a few weeks ...

14. I carefully watch who is coming on the show and then plan to switch over
to my local ABC affiliate for weather and local news if I see that Mary Cheney, or some other asshole I can't stand the sight of, is about to go on MJ. I try to gauge it just right but it's hard to do. Sometimes the other guests really challenge the obnoxious guest and they get into a great wrangle.

Some of it is enjoyable, as when Mika got her knickers in a twist over the vibrator discussion. Tina Brown dryly remarked "I think Mika is going to faint." I still chuckle when I remember that whole segment...

16. I didn't believe it before, but now I am convinced that they are having an affair.
He travels with her on her book tour all over, including a little junket to California. I didn't hear about his wife or her husband coming along. He went withher to the studio when she did Colbert's show and stayed in the Green Room. And there are certain mannerisms that are a dead giveaway IMO that they are lovers. Not that I care but it'll be fun when the lid comes off and one or the other of their spouses files for divorce...

8. Has anybody else noticed the Morning Joke cast live in a bubble
Their bubble also believes that Joe Scarborough (R-Dead Intern) will be the GOP nominee in 2012 and will defeat Obama.

They also believe Harold ford will be the next Senator from New York.

They convince each other what political reality is, then play it out on their joke of a show.

Their crap bears no resemblance to reality.

11. I agree. I watch the show because they book good guests.
And some of them shame Mika and Joe like crazy. Eugene Robinson nearly had Mika in tears over the Skip Gates incident...he did it in a nice way but said "Mika, you always do this..." and proceeded to call her out right on the show. It was a thing of beauty. Mika looked devastated...

9. Yes she was!
And the whole arguement is a false equivelency.

Rachel was not a member of Congress who had a vote on the Bush tax cuts.

At the time the Bush tax cuts were enacted was long before Rachel had a radio or TV show so she never saw any cut in her taxes.

Also, you can't just send a check to the IRS like you do to a charity. If you tried, they would return it. That's the law.

Mika is really a conservative who pretends to be a liberal. She is probably jealous of Rachel because her show is #2 in her time slot in Prime time while Mika is stuck on the #4 morning news show.

10. My first thought: OH SNAP! That's why Mika siphoned off that quote
out of the entire exchange (altho in fairness, as I said, I only caught that blip at the end). I thought that if THAT was what Mika thought was the highlight of the exchange, then it had to be because she is pea green with envy over Rachel Maddow's success. I think that deep down Mika knows she's a fraud and a fake and Rachel is the real deal. And Mika knows that she can't compete with Rachel on intelligence...

17. Mika is just the early am "eye-candy" for the off-to-work" middle aged guys
she's the "Gal Friday" to the "boys" on the panel.. She knows her role..she's well-paid to do that. She's well-schooled, so this whole dumb-blonde "I-don't get-it" persona is all show-biz.. I liked her when she was on the CBS overnight news show they used to have, but she's stomach-turningly blah these days:(

The extra sleep is much better for your health than anything Mika or Joe or any of those clowns on the TV machine has to say.

dead intern Joe ends up in prison for being an accessory to the crime, and she becomes Mika's new boss?
