Zuckerman Considers Senate Bid

Mort Zuckerman, real estate tycoon and publisher of The Daily News, is considering a run against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), the New York Times reports.

Zuckerman regards Gillibrand "as vulnerable to a challenge and is convinced that, at a time of economic tumult and political unrest, his background as an outsider to government, and his record as a businessman, will appeal to the state's electorate."

He is also conducting a poll testing his viability.

2. Another Anti-Constitutionalist....
Says on McLaughlin Group...no trials for criminals in New York. These guys have got to be shown the Constitution.

Article 3, Section 2: "The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed."

If you listen to these guys, you may as well just take the "terrorists" or whomever they like, and turn them loose to a crowd of protesters including Giuliani and let them go ahead and lynch them. America has a fine historical record for that....then we could all get back to health care for all, jobs...etc.

3. See why I think it's time for a "test" to run for office now?
More evidence for my position with every passing day.

5. The Daily News, Though,
is the Democratic tabloid in NYC, or used to be. The New York Post is the right-wing tabloid. How does that work?

6. He's going to have to get in line...
Behind Harold Ford, Andrew Cuomo, Dan Stec, everybody's piling on. I don't think she's "vulnerable," has been doing a great job and is getting more national exposure. Though I admit to being prejudiced, since she was my congresswoman, here in NY-20. :-)
