12. Thank you, everyone. I was kind of making a point,
i.e, Big Dawg shouldn't have to justify his health insurance or costs for needing one, and you helped me.

26. I had two of them put in 6 years ago
It was in Germany, and the only thing the surgeon said to me in English, after he was done, was "just in time."

I wrote a play-by-play account of what went down on another thread:

29. My F-I-L has four and one was implanted INSIDE another.
I guess the first one was collapsing or something so they threaded a second one inside it. Weird, eh?

30. Father-in-law had three put in 15 years ago. Last night he had another heart attack.
He's doing ok, they're doing testing today but it was not as bad as the one he had the first time. With his family history of heart failure it's amazing that's all the problems he's had. He does take medication, watch his weight and exercises regularly.

31. My Dad had 6 or 7 - some hideous number - they have a good and bad side -
- as they are prone to actually collecting plaque and exasperate the medical condition they are attempting to correct. They look a bit like the slinky toy and its easy for plaque to grab onto them.
