ok after one year unemployed, I just got one freelance assignment

I have two weeks to do it and its well below my normal rate, its extremely complex so I am having trouble figuring out how to do it, but I JUMPED at the chance and said it would be no problem.

could everyone out there clap (like for tinkerbell) that this goes ok? If I can pull it off, it'll pay our utilities for two months.

Sometimes we have to go beyond what we consider to be easy in order to advance ourselves. I just took a very challenging position that I probably wouldn't have risked if I didn't badly need the work. I think I can do it but it's definitely stretching my abilities.

Maybe this is what happens in bad times. We become more willing to step out on that ledge and take a chance.

32. UPDATE: just heard back from the client

I sent in my thumbnail, two days ahead of schedule and he liked it! He said it was very clever and engaging, and his adjustments will be minor.
I'll be able to start on the final project next week, again ahead of schedule.
