1. Hmm. It's not Obama's war but Bush's war he inherited from him.
I wish they wouldn't say stuff like that.

3. It is Obama's War. He more than doubled the troop and contractor
presence. He expanded the drone attacks and greatly escalated the war. It most certainly is his.

4. So Vietnam wasn't LBJ's war, eh?
Or, subsequently, Nixon's war?

Obama is waging it, he owns it.

10. Vietnam was LBJ's war, no doubt, but I don't blame Nixon. He didn't start it.
I know Kennedy started sending military to help the government of Vietnam in their civil war, but it was small potatoes. It was LBJ who made it into a real war. Obama should start pulling troops out now. He's got to know this is a war for pillage not our honor and revenge for 9-11. If that were the case we would be at war with Saudi Arabia and Yemen. He needs to disown this now and keep the blame squarely in the Bush/Cheney camp for future historians to not label it as Obama's war like it seems they are starting to.

16. It was Nixon's war during the horrific Christmas bombings.
It was his war when he considered nuclear options. It was his war when he bombed Cambodia.

Obama has escalated the campaign. He's increased troops in Afghanistan, increased bombing campaigns in Pakistan, and then there are those pesky bombing operations in Yemen.

As long as he continues to wage it, he owns it.

13. Wrong. The Obama administration bought it lock stock and 30,000 smoking barrels.
They are correct when they say stuff like that.

until WE put an end to it. Best line from the film: "America isn't at war. America's at the mall."

18. Tried to start watching your link, but couldn't get past the tendentious defeatism
of the presenters.

Here's a couple tips --

1) The actions of the U.S. military aren't necessarily evil.

2) The actions of the U.S. military aren't inevitably doomed to failure.

:nuke: :wtf: :nuke:

( Yeah, mind-blowing, right? )
