Part of me is worried that the national Dems will draw the wrong conclusion...

...if they lose a lot of seats in Congress this year.

They may draw the conclusion that the nation is more conservative than they had thought, and then move even further to the right.

And the GOP will move further right, because they will never be caught being in anyway less conservative than the Democratic Party.
So they'll move further into fascist territory.

Anyone else feel this way?

1. They have permitted the Republicans to define the Center.

They moved the Center to the Right and they are way over on the
far right--trying to force the Democrats more and more rightward.

The HCI is a center right bill. No Public Option, No Single Payer
No Medicare for all along with mandating everyone purchase Insurance
from Insurance Companies make it a Right Bill.

I am hopeful that the Democrats do not continue this practice
of following the GOP over the Right. The electorate will turn
them out on their ear.
