Meghan McCain blasts Tancredo's 'innate racism'
says no one wants to see wrinkled old tea bags like him.

Meghan McCain said Tancredo's statements represented "innate racism."

"And I think it's why young people are turned off by this movement," she said. "And I'm sorry revolutions start with young people. Not with 65-year-old people talking about literacy tests and people who can't say the word 'vote' in English. It's ridiculous."

1. And being that she is a Republican, she is creating distance for the party from the crazies
Some people here applaud this media campaign she is spearheading to make the Republicans look fresh and cool. I'm not buying it.

3. Yup, she is a tool for Repuns who will pose as middleground betwen baggers & that socialist Obama.
This strategy has been pointed out on DU often lately and it may work.

4. I don't care. I'm glad she is speaking out
The growing reactionary movement is too serious a threat for me to worry about that political angle. Sane people need to stand up to it, even sane Republicans who might end up scoring a few political points by doing so. Racism must be called out and not only by the Left.

5. Only thing wrong with that theory is the tea baggers are also republicans -
so any independents drawn to the sane republicans will also give their votes to the crazies. They know that and will, instead, stay home if they can't bring themselves to vote for the socialist.

So just how would it work?
