Do your Republican Facebook friends agree with you on Palin?
My friends know I am pretty active politically and know what side I'm on, but today I posted a photo of Palin's hand with the notes, and got commons from 2 Republican friends that she is indeed dumb.

I also joined an group called "Palin is a idiot" and one of my GOP friends joined as well and commented that she's scared of her.

Wow wow wow, could the GOP have really blundered by pushing the Palin farce too far?

Or just allowed her to go a bit too far on her own?

1. Not a Facebook friend
But I was joking around with a coworker today, a republican, and I mentioned Palin's hand crib notes. And he was like "no, she really did that?" and he went on to say that he didn't understand why anyone supported her, that she's just an idiot.

2. I know one republican on facebook and he wont discuss politics with me
He tried to get me to join his, 'Glen Beck meetup' group. His simpleton arguments are very easy to shred with basic logic so he long ago gave up trying to discuss politics with me.

3. Don't keep friends on facebook..
But face to face, I know several who think Palin is the worst thing Republicans can do.

But the Republican party needs to hold onto the people that thing she is Jesus and her cribnotes are stigmatta.

I suspect she will run in 2012. She will keep anyone from runnig very far to her left in the Republican party. A Palin run could be good for Democrats in 2012, but I doubt she will have much affect in 2010.

5. I don't even mention her name to any of our
friends around here. I don't want to know that any of them could possibly admire her. I'm surrounded by Republicans, this being Utah, most of whom I've known for almost half a century. We've become a fixture here; they know we're Democrats. Politics is not a subject for discussion, except for mentioning my letters to the editor ("I read your letter in the Herald Journal ..."). I don't encourage follow up.

8. As Rove said - This (Palin) is a gift that keeps on giving.
Do not fear this Wasilla trash. Be grateful for her! She had a huge part to play in the election of Barack Obama. She is now taking a leading role in the splitting of the Republican vote. As we get closer to 2012, she will drive droves of people from the GOP ranks, many who will actually become Democrats.

I cannot see a down side to this.

9. My Facebook Friends
are pretty much like-minded with me with the exception of two "RINO's". The RINOs think Palin probably needed crib notes on her hand, because she didn't think she'd remember what her opinion was supposed to be on the questions she was briefed about before the Q & A session. Why don't these RINOs take the party back from the tea party types? I have asked them. They just don't have the motivation - yet. Maybe if she runs for president in 2012, they'll finally get a fire under their feet to take their party back. Otherwise, maybe with the discontent about Obama that I hear and read on the liberal/Democratic side combined with Palin's popularity could mean that President Palin supported by the blue dogs will be declaring war on Iran in 2013.

14. They brought up Obama's teleprompter use
I countered with the fact that Bush used teleprompters, as well as quite a few of his predecessors. Reagan relied on them heavily.

And Obama at least knew how to use one. Bush still mangled the English language. That was even when he had AN EARPIECE!
