I am fearful that John Edwards will be indicted
Yes, fearful. I do not want him to be indicted.

With this investigation being revved up, someone will face charges. I think he will be charged with some sort of campaign finance related felony.

1. If there's evidence that he used campaign funds illegally
why should he not be indicted? Would you feel the same way about a republican?

11. I'd like to see some treasonous Republicans indicted, just to be fair, before
our Democrats are.

27. No. I would want all the criminal repubs to be indicted
We've had a president impeached.

They have gotten away with everything. I want the tables reversed. Yeah, call me homer. Guilty as charged.

And I don't even like Edwards and never did.

5. If he cheated with campaign cash, he needs to be prosecuted.
Playing fast & loose with other people's money is not a good thing..and even with a "D" next to his name, he gets no pass from me..

He always struck me as a charming man who wanted to be president..too much.. and his wife was a sweet lady who wanted to be first lady..too much..
I feel for their kids :(

Edited on Mon Feb-08-10 06:56 PM by hisownpetard
He is a narcissistic sociopath who was willing to bring this country
down for the sake of his own ego, not to mention his cancer-stricken wife,
his children and all the people who supported him.

I think there should be a class-action lawsuit brought against him
by everyone who contributed to his too-good-to-be-true campaign - including
me.

8. If he is, he deserves it. I can understand the affairs. I think
at least 90% of poloiticians have them in ne form or another. But HE"S a LAWYER! He's made lots of $$ winning cases and kknowing the laws. If he was stupid enough to break a campaign finance law, knowing this was a national campaign and everyone would be looking, he's no more than some dumb guy.

should the rest of them in the Republican corner also.

14. Agreed. Chimpy killed tens of thousands of men, women and children.
So, that means his crimes are getting thousands of hours more of mainstream media air time.

Oh, right.

16. If he's a Democrat, he'll be hanged, drawn and quartered,
at least metaphorically, for any sort of campaign fund impropriety.

Meanwhile, men who abandoned treaties, killed hundreds of thousands, and brought this country to the brink of a second Great Depression will grow old and die comfortably in bed, attended by doctors paid for by our taxes.

There is no justice. There is only life.

19. Personal accountability...
I won't lose one minute of sleep over John Edwards' conundrum. His lies and deception have created a mountain out of a mole hill. Who's responsibility should it be to dig him out of the deep pile of shit of his own making that is now consuming him? Not mine. Not yours. He needs to buy a shovel and start digging...

21. I don't want to see Edwards in court before Tom Delay
or many other "R" politicians that get away with much worse. Edwards did a scumbag thing and may have misused campaign funds, but don't try to convince me they ALL haven't misused campaign funds some way or another - especially national campaigns.

I have no pity for Edwards, but I'm not going to eat Democrats, even the bad ones, while Republics get a pass.

peace

25. Yeah, DeLay needs to see some
trial/jail time. They are both scum bags, but DeLay is far worse because he was actually in power and did a lot of damage. Edwards could have done a lot of damage but we sort of dodged a bullet when he didn't get the nomination.

Both are Narcissists, though, IMHO.

The not only cheated on his wife but he'd have taken us down in flames with him if he'd been nominated...why should we even CARE about him?

Best to consign the guy to the ashheap. We can clearly do better.

32. The deal with Edwards that will get him hung if possible
is he advocated that they're were two Americas, one for us the serfs and one for our overlords. Just like with Imus anus, he got by with the same shit for years but when he started advocating for the 'impeachment of bush and the hanging of darth' he didn't last long there after. I seen that one happening and told my wife as witness to this, that when I heard don imus saying those words I said he won't be long for being on our airways and about a month is all he made after that. These powers to be kill or destroy anyone who attempts to expose them for being what they are. If they let you live they will destroy you, either way they've neutered another threat. Thats how they see it too.

http://www.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2010/01/book-tells-of-john-edwards-affair-his-disdain-for-fat-rednecks-/1

Young also writes that Edwards, who billed himself as the modest son of a mill worker, hated making appearances at state fairs where "fat rednecks try to shove food down my face. I know I'm the people's senator, but do I have to hang out with them?

and you feel bad for this guy?
