Doritos Ruled the Night
Edited on Mon Feb-08-10 11:16 AM by erpowers
Overall, I think the Super Bowl commericals were not that good this year. I would grade them as either a C or a D. However, my favorite commercial was the first Doritos commerical. That was the one with the dog and the shock collar. I thought that commerical was hilarious. The Doritos with the little boy, his mom, and her date was also funny.

I was not that impressed with any of the other commericals. The E-Trade commericals were a let down in that they were not as funny as in years before. I thought the end of the commerical where the babies were on a plane and that one of the babies started to scream for its father when the seatbelt announce was made was funny.

So, what did others think? Did you like most of the commericals? What was your favorite? Did you think the commericals were good overall?

1. Most were lame.
I liked the "green police" = Acura? I think. I also liked the Bud truck & bridge out.

The doritoe ones were funny too. I thought the Google ad was clever.

However 99% of them were crap. Also I notice CBS ran a lot of CBS ads which is a sign they couldn't sell out ad slots.

I think that is a bad sign for the economy.

Is it really so hard to just either hide the thread or ignore it? But, noooooooo. You just had to say something smart, didn't you?

14. LOLZ
Wow...what an arrogant, douchy response.

Just goes to prove that not all progressives are kind and polite people. Most...but you prove the exception.

Really, really sad that you need to come in and denigrate people.

3. I thought the Doritos were hokey - tossing that Dorito and having it stick the guy in the neck
was pretty lame.

The Letterman-Leno-Oprah was the best in my book.

10. I liked the Coke commercial, where the guy sleepwalks his way through the jungle, by the edge of a

precipice, and crosses a body of water (complete with large hippo mouth that breaks his boat in two)...and into an area where there is a fridge with some Cokes in it.

I liked that.

15. I admire clever commercials,
although there are fewer & fewer of them. Some are downright stupid. Those stupid Swifter commercials where the discarded broom falls in love with the rake - what the fuck? Do they think they're advertising to four-year olds? That advertising agency couldn't come up with something better than that? And worse, the Swifter company chose that ad campaign? Unfuckingbelievable! I wouldn't buy that product if it were the only thing that could clean my house.

16. I liked the Doritos commercials, among others - probably laughed most...
...watching those panicked chickens in the Denny's spots.
